Travelling and arriving to Cannes for Language homestay in France

Travelling by plane or train/bus/car?

Cannes is one of France’s major tourist destinations in France, getting there is not a problem at all. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, is 27 kilometers east of Cannes. It is the second busiest airport in France. The most convenient way to reach Cannes is by air, as several international airlines operate direct or connecting flights to Nice from all major cities.

Arriving by plane

Personal pick-up service arranged by the school : only for the students staying in host families. Your host family will be waiting for you, with a sign/board, just outside the sliding door of the arrival hall.

Taxi service : Taxis wait in line in the front of arrival hall of the airport. Average price from a-one way trip from Nice airport to Cannes : 85€.

Bus directly from and to the airport : Cannes express bus (line 210) run every half hour from 8 a.m. through 8 p.m. with a traveling time of 45 minutes. More info on the airport website.
Trains : they depart from and to Nice central station. For information about train schedule and fares, visit the SNCF train company website. The trains operate daily between Cannes and Nice. Bus number 99 from and to the airport.

Arriving by train or bus

Arriving by train : Rapid and express trains, T.G.V, operate daily between Cannes and major French and European cities. More information on the French train company and Trainline.

Arriving by bus : Get to Cannes from several European cities by bus at an affordable price with Flixbus service.

Although Covid restrictions were relaxed in France 2022 the school was closed but they matched us with two of their tutors for "one-on-one" sessions in Cannes; one tutor was working with me and the other with the kids (age 14 and 16). Tutoring was excellent and both tutors were highly adaptive to meet our respective needs. Being on-site in Cannes also allowed us to make detours in the city to interact in everyday situations which further enriched our experience. We've previously attended French courses both online and onsite (in Paris) but the tutors at "Passeport pour les langues - French Summer Classes" stand apart for their professionalism, highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic! Charles was super responsive and organised two superb professional teachers for my daughter and myself. The whole process was efficient, and the teachers dynamic and engaging. They came directly to our hotel as the school was closed due to Covid. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you

Due to the COVID-19 situation, our son couldn't travel to Cannes to join the French summer classes. Instruction is done via skype (France-USA). The teacher is very flexible, funny, follows the school teacher's instructions and suggestions; there is an excellent and interesting conversation on-going about current events. Despite being the only student with the teacher, our son is enjoying the classes. I hope to send him in person next year! Thank you very much to the administration and the teacher.

Thank you very much for hosting this excellent summer school.Apart from the great opportunity for my son to learn French, we are also grateful for having been introduced to both Cannes and Cannes La Bocca by the summer school. Now our summers wouldn’t be complete without spending some time there.
