Intensive French programme in France

Our Intensive French Course is designed for students who want to spend more time learning and practising French during their stay in Cannes. The programme combines morning and afternoon group classes for a total of 30 lessons per week.

With a maximum of 10 students per class in the morning and maximum 6 students in the afterooon, students have plenty of opportunities to participate, practise their French and develop their language skills in a friendly and supportive learning environment.

The Intensive Course is available for children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginner to upper-intermediate (B2) level.

With 30 lessons per week, the Intensive Course gives students additional time to develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills while strengthening grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

It can also be particularly useful for students who want to strengthen their French for school, university or future studies, or who are working towards examinations and qualifications such as GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, IB, Abitur, Matura, Maturita and DELF/DALF.

Intensive French courses - Course description

Students attend 30 lessons of 45 minutes per week, with 20 lessons in the morning and 10 additional lessons in the afternoon. Classes are organised according to students’ French level and are limited to a maximum of 10 students per group.

Lessons develop the four main language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, while helping students strengthen their grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Particular emphasis is placed on communication and active participation, so that students have plenty of opportunities to use French during class.

Class Activities: Depending on the students’ age, level and the group, class activities may include:

  • conversations and group discussions;
  • grammar and vocabulary activities;
  • listening and reading comprehension;
  • pronunciation practice;
  • written exercises and short writing activities;
  • role plays and practical everyday situations;
  • presentations and speaking activities;
  • texts, songs, games or other interactive activities selected by the teacher.

Teachers adapt the content and activities to the overall level and needs of the group, creating a supportive environment where students are encouraged to participate, ask questions and become more confident using French.

First & last day of your
intensive language course

First day:
Complete beginners do not need to take a level test. For students who already have some knowledge of French, their level may be assessed at the beginning of the course to help our teachers place them in the most suitable group.

Last day:
At the end of their course, students receive a certificate of participation. Children and teenagers also take part in our Friday presentation.
