Learn French in Cannes in a Small and Personal School

French Summer Classes is the summer programme of Passeport pour les Langues, an independent French language school based in Cannes-La-Bocca, on the French Riviera.

We welcome children, teenagers, adults and families from around the world who want to learn or improve their French while spending time in France. Our students can join us for just one week or stay for several weeks during our seven-week summer season.

We keep our classes small, with a maximum of 10 students per group. This allows our teachers to get to know their students, give them personal attention and create plenty of opportunities for everyone to participate and speak French.

Unlike a large language campus, French Summer Classes offers a smaller and more personal learning environment. Teachers and staff know their students, and our size allows us to create a friendly atmosphere where students can feel comfortable, supported and encouraged to use French.

Our building
Our French summer school takes place in Maison Saints Anges, a charming early 20th-century building that once housed a Catholic primary school. Fully wheelchair accessible, the building has dedicated classrooms, a gated outdoor area and private parking. The school is within walking distance of local shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as the beaches of Cannes-La-Bocca. Our indoor classrooms are air-conditioned, and some lessons may also take place outside in the school’s gated outdoor area.

Who are our students?

Every summer, we welcome students from different countries, backgrounds and generations. Some travel independently, while others come to Cannes with their family. Some are discovering French for the first time, while others return to France to continue improving their language skills.

Our summer courses are open to children aged 6–11, teenagers aged 12–17 and adults from age 17. Families are also welcome: parents and children can study French during the same week while joining the group that best matches their age and level.

This mix of ages and nationalities is part of the friendly, international atmosphere of French Summer Classes.

Where are we located?

French Summer Classes is located in Cannes-La-Bocca, on the French Riviera, approximately 30 km from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport.

The school is within walking distance of the beach and close to the local Provençal market, cafés, bakeries, restaurants and everyday amenities. Central Cannes and La Croisette are also easily accessible.

Cannes is well connected by train and bus, making it possible to explore other towns and destinations along the French Riviera without needing a car.

A Flexible French Summer Programme

Our summer programme is designed for students who want to make real progress in French while enjoying their stay on the French Riviera.

Morning classes take place from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm, with 20 French lessons per week. Students who want a more intensive programme can also take afternoon classes, for a total of 30 lessons per week.

Students can join us for one or several weeks between 14 June and 30 July 2027. Optional activities and excursions are available during the summer, while students who prefer more free time can enjoy Cannes and the surrounding area independently.
