Excursions & activities during your French language courses in Cannes

As many students attend our intensive courses in the afternoons, we can only organize activities and excursions occasionally. We like to meet at the end of the day on the beach, during firework evenings, during occasional excursions such as Grasse perfumery, Cannes islands, Saint-Raphaël and its magnificent scenic coastal landscape, Antibes, Nice or Monaco.

Make sure to get your Côte d’Azur activity pass either online or on the spot (from the tourist office or from your hotel) to enjoy activities and excursions at a reduced price.

Thanks to our location in the heart of French Riviera, you will find plenty of activities and excursions to do on your own after your French courses.

Cannes by
mini-train

The mini-train takes you on all the key sights around Cannes. It is a relaxing, nice and breezy ride and a fun way to tour Cannes.

Beach picnic

This social event is great and fun opportunity to gather with school friends, teachers, play beach volley-ball, swim, share a picnic on the beach and speak French.

Iles de Lérins

Take the boat and go visit Ste Marguerite or St-Honorat islands. They are facing Cannes and are peaceful escapes. You may swim or just walk around the island.

Grasse

Visit Grasse, a quaint town overlooking the sea where you will visit the perfume factory, its workshops and boutique and enjoy a guided tour by mini-train.

Loto-bingo

This social event is very amusing. Students participate in a loto-bingo where they are challenged to identify numbers in French. Lots of laughs, gifts and souvenirs !

Sailing/ Windsurfing

Le Club Nautique de la Croisette welcomes our group or individuals for sailing, windsurfing or paddle. From 6 y.o to adults every afternoons.

Grasse/ Gourdon

You will visit one of the oldest perfume factory of Grasse and visit the boutique. The excursion goes on with the visit of the village of Gourdon.

Although Covid restrictions were relaxed in France 2022 the school was closed but they matched us with two of their tutors for "one-on-one" sessions in Cannes; one tutor was working with me and the other with the kids (age 14 and 16). Tutoring was excellent and both tutors were highly adaptive to meet our respective needs. Being on-site in Cannes also allowed us to make detours in the city to interact in everyday situations which further enriched our experience. We've previously attended French courses both online and onsite (in Paris) but the tutors at "Passeport pour les langues - French Summer Classes" stand apart for their professionalism, highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic! Charles was super responsive and organised two superb professional teachers for my daughter and myself. The whole process was efficient, and the teachers dynamic and engaging. Due to the COVID-19 situation, our son couldn't travel to Cannes to join the French summer classes. Instruction is done via skype (France-USA). The teacher is very flexible, funny, follows the school teacher's instructions and suggestions; there is an excellent and interesting conversation on-going about current events. Despite being the only student with the teacher, our son is enjoying the classes. I hope to send him in person next year! Thank you very much to the administration and the teacher.

Thank you very much for hosting this excellent summer school.Apart from the great opportunity for my son to learn French, we are also grateful for having been introduced to both Cannes and Cannes La Bocca by the summer school. Now our summers wouldn’t be complete without spending some time there.
