Travelling and arriving to Cannes for Language homestay in France​

Travelling by plane or train/bus/car?

Cannes is one of France’s major tourist destinations in France, getting there is not a problem at all. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, is 27 kilometers east of Cannes. It is the second busiest airport in France. The most convenient way to reach Cannes is by air, as several international airlines operate direct or connecting flights to Nice from all major cities.

Arriving by plane

  • Personal pick-up service arranged by the school : only for the students staying in host families. Your host family will be waiting for you, with a sign/board, just outside the sliding door of the arrival hall.
  • Taxi service : Taxis wait in line in the front of arrival hall of the airport. Average price from a-one way trip from Nice airport to Cannes : 85€.
  • Bus directly from and to the airport : Cannes express bus (line 210) run every half hour from 8 a.m. through 8 p.m. with a traveling time of 45 minutes. More info on the airport website.
  • Trains : they depart from and to Nice central station. For information about train schedule and fares, visit the SNCF train company website. The trains operate daily between Cannes and Nice. Bus number 99 from and to the airport.

Arriving by train or bus

  • Arriving by train : Rapid and express trains, T.G.V, operate daily between Cannes and major French and European cities. More information on the French train company and Trainline.
