GENERAL REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
ACCOUNTABILITY
French Summer Classes is a family organization, member of Passeport pour les langues. Our aim is to provide families and individuals with quality French language programs that are fun, educational, intellectually challenging and culturally rewarding. French Summer Classes will see to it that all the language programs offered in this website are carried out to provide an excellent and enjoyable educational experience. Our French language program takes place in a builiding which, during the academic year, houses a Catholic school. We are located : 8, rue St Vincent de Paul, 06150 Cannes
HOUSE RULES
We expect our students a positive attitude and behavior in the classrooms, as well as with their host families or in hotels and during school outings. Alcohol and drugs, use of lighted substances, graffiti and other damaging activities, and keeping of dangerous objects such as knives, etc.. are all prohibited on campus. Smoking is forbidden in all campus areas. Students must abide by these rules during their stay. The violation of the aforementioned rules could lead to sanctions or exclusion of the student.
Singing, dancing, role playing in class, and having a good time are all welcome activities on our campus !
MINORS
Parents should be aware that a disclaimer authorizing their child to go out without any adult supervision and to participate into extra-curricular activities will have to be signed. Any minor student abusing alcohol, drugs, etc. or misbehaving during their stay will be sent back home immediately at the expense of their parents.
PASSPORT & VISA
Make sure you bring a valid passport. Students residing outside the European Union may, in some cases, need to obtain a visa before coming to Europe. If you decide to stay less than three months you may need a tourist visa and if you stay for more than three months, a student visa. Contact the French embassy in your home country or review their website. When applying for a student visa, you will have to enclose the confirmation of your registration to our school.
INSURANCES
All activities are undertaken at the risk of the participants. You must take out an insurance policy in your home country covering : individual civil liability, medical insurance (sickness, accident, loss), personal insurance for the theft of luggage or personal belongings, plane ticket change and cancellation insurance. French Summer Classes will not be held responsible if an injury or loss occurs during your stay. We strongly advise you to subscribe all the appropriate insurance plans to cover you during your stay.
Please note that valuables and all other personal effects are your sole responsibility at all times.
HOW TO REGISTER ?
To register, completely fill out the online registration form. We will, then, send you a confirmation e-mail of your registration. In this e-mail, you will have the confirmation of your language progam (dates, courses, activities…) you are applying for and your host family reservation, if applicable. If you decide to stay in a hotel, apartment or villa, we will send you a selection that suits your requirements and help you book your accommodation. Your registration will be complete when the school receives the registration fee.
REGISTRATION FEE
At the time you are enrolling for a French language program, there will be a registration fee. The registration fee consists of an administrative fee (enrolment fee) of 50 Euros and a down payment of 180 Euros on your tuition fee. The 230 Euro registration fee will be deducted from the total amount of your program.
HOW TO PAY THE REGISTRATION AND PROGRAM FEES ?
The registration fee can be sent to the school by International Wire Transfer order from your bank to our bank in France. Details will be sent out in the confirmation e-mail.
Language program fees are due four weeks before the classes start. Payments should be made by Wire Transfer from your bank to our bank in France. If your registration takes place less than four weeks before the course starts, all payable amounts are due immediately. In some cases, when you register 2 weeks or less before the language program starts, all the fees must be paid upon your first day at school by traveler’s check or in cash (Euros).
CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of any type of cancellation, the flat-rate administrative fee of 50 Euros is non-refundable. It is possible to change your booking before your program starts. In case of cancellation three weeks before the course starts, the full down payment will be refunded. After these three weeks until the planned date of your course, 50% of the down payment will be refunded. If the visa you applied for to visit France is denied–which has never happened in our experience–send us the official letter from your home French embassy and we will refund the full down payment.
FORCE MAJEUR
In the event of force majeure (fire, water damages, etc.), Passeport pour les Langues will inform the students, by e-mail and phone, and will reimburse any deposit paid.
COMPLAINTS
No complaint on your part will be accepted after your departure if it has not been brought to our attention during your stay. In the event of any legal dispute, the parties agree that the case are within the juridiction of the law courts of Fréjus (where Passeport pour les Langues has its main office).
