CLASSES
Our French summer classes take place in a lovely 19th-century period building, which, during the academic year, houses Saints Anges, a Catholic school. It is perfectly located in the heart of the seaside city of Cannes. Our building is equipped with 5 classrooms, a large gated yard, and a private parking lot.
We’re only a stone’s throw away from the sandy beaches (400 meters), the Provencal market (less than 100 meters), cafés and restaurants, in the middle of one of the most lively and pleasant areas of Cannes. La Croisette, the favorite boulevard to stroll, is only 2 kilometers (5-10 min bus ride) away.
00 meters from our French language school there are numerous internet cafés, including the popular hangout African Queen, as well as the Cannes public library. Thanks to the library card we provide, you may check out books and use the internet free of charge. French students often attend French summer programs in our building and may offer the perfect way for you to practice your French. During the 30-minute recess, students will have a great opportunity to mingle with French native students.
All the classes (except intensive courses) are from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., Monday to Friday, including a 30-minute break. Intensive courses take place after lunch except for specially arranged individual classes.
On the first Monday, new students take part in the Welcome Orientation program which includes a a language test. There are two parts to the test. The first is a written test that takes 30 minutes. The second part of the test is a one on one interview with a French Summer School teacher. The results allow us to place you in the most suitable group.
Students without any knowledge of French will participate in a special intro course while the other students are taking the test. We will also provide you with practical information about our school, and describe some of the opportunities you will have to participate in activities in Cannes and along the Cote d’Azur
We have small size classes, normally 5-7 with a maximum of 12 students.
At the end of your French language program, you will receive an official certificate, attesting to your participation in our course.
TEACHERS
Our teachers are energetic and fun native speakers with rich and varied backgrounds. They all have considerable experience in teaching French to non-French-speaking students, in Europe and in North America.
