About Cannes

Cannes- french summer classes

Cannes has a typical ‘Mediterranean’ climate. Summers are long and warm and winters are mild. Basically, temperatures remain high from June to September, the busiest time of the year. Despite the hot daytime temperatures, a Mediterranean breeze keeps summer evenings comfortably cool.  In the winter, temperature may drop below 10°C for only three months of the year (December to February). The spring and autumn are also warm.

Average daytime temperature on the French Riviera (in Celsius):
- Winter 12
- Spring 18
- Summer 27
- Autumn 22

Cannes has always been associated with the Film Festival, when images of the stars descending the red-carpeted steps of Palais des Festivals are spashed all over newspaper covers worldwide. When Hollywood’s stars pack up and go home, Cannes is still a lively town, where every season is wonderful.

Discover the sandy beaches for sunbathing, picnics or partying and the stunning coastline where the Esterel mountains cascade into a turquoise sea.
